Spacecraft and X-Plane Models
I used Greg Bollendonk's Spacecraft models list as the starting point for this compilation. A copy of this list used to be found at ftp://explorer.arc.nasa.gov/pub/SPACE/FAQ/ModelCatalog, but it's not there anymore (and don't ask me where it is, because I don't know). I've also relied heavily on now out of print The Collector's Value Guide for Scale Model Plastic Kits by John W. Burns. Here, I've organized the models by subject and scale and I've added links to photographs of the kit boxes for those that I have or that people have sent me. If there's a green dot () in front of the kit name, then the link includes not only the boxart, but also full sized scans of the instructions, decals, and maybe some additional stuff. If you see any errors or can provide confirmation on those kits that I've indicated confirmation is needed or have additions for this page, please email me.
Most of the kits listed are injection molded plastic. Those that aren't are noted (if known). I've also made a stab at the issue date of the kit. For most of them, I use the copyright date on the box or instruction sheet. However, some of the kits contain no such date, so I've either guessed or left the date blank...
A note about the NEED CONFIRMATION notations: these are kits on which I have incomplete or conflicting information: I'm not sure about the exact title of the kit or the scale or kit number or if it even existed at all! So if any of you out there in Netland can provide the information and (ideally) a jpg of the boxtop, please let me know.
A Final note: As you can see, I don't have boxart photos of some of the kits listed. This is where you come in: if you have the kit listed, take a picture of the box art and either scan it in and send me a jpg file, or snail mail the print to me and I'll scan it in here. Also, if any of you have pictures of these kits as built, I'll post them in the Space and X-Plane Model Photo Gallery.

Classic Speculative: The Way the Future Was
This includes designs before 1980 (an arbitrary cutoff point, I agree.
But it had to be made somewhere...)
For some of these kits 'scale' is tossed about rather freely. In most
cases, I just used the scale that's mentioned in the kit. This leads
to some interesting contradictions, particularly with the Glencoe
reissues of the old Strombecker kits. For example, the Glencoe
Mars Liner is a reissue of the Strombecker Disneyland Rocket
to the Moon kit. The Glencoe kit is listed as 1/144 scale, while
the Strombecker kit is listed at 1/83! But, since this is
speculative, I'm not gonna get too picky with it...

I am most grateful to the following people who provided information and/or box art fotos that helped in
