The parts are solid, with smooth surface finishes and some slight gunges, but no pinholes. The Mercury capsule's detail is a bit heavy, but can easily be sanded down.
The escape tower is formed from a photoetched part. (I managed to
fold mine inside out. Pay attention to the direction of the
trusswork!) The instruction sheet includes exploded drawings and a
painting guide. The waterslide decals supply the black UNITED STATES for the booster and numbers for John Glenn's flight. The kit box includes a photo of the completed model which
also aids as in painting.
