This kit depicts the launch vehicle for Orbiting Geophysical Observatory (OGO) 4. The kit parts are beautifully cast with crisp details, a smooth surface finish and no visible airholes. All parts, except for the engine nozzles, are solidly molded. The engine bells are nicely hollowed out. All parts are still attached to their pour plugs. For complete accuracy, the modeler will have to add wire or rod not supplied with the kit for the turbo exhaust braces. Extra photoetched parts are included in case you need them: they're quite tiny and delicate. In addition to the graphical assembly instructions, the instruction sheet includes a short program history and a four view painting and decaling guide. |
