This kit depicts the launch vehicle for the TIROS 1 weather satellite. The kit parts are beautifully cast with crisp details, a smooth surface finish and no visible airholes. All parts, except for the engine nozzle, are solidly molded. The engine bells are nicely hollowed out. All parts are still attached to their pour plugs. For complete accuracy, the modeler will have to add wire or rod not supplied with the kit for the turbo exhaust braces. You won't use all of the decals included, since the decal sheet is common to all the New Ware Thor kits. In addition to the graphical assembly instructions, the instruction sheet includes a short program history and a four view painting and decaling guide.
