The parts are beautifully cast with crisp details and no visible airholes. There is some slight flash between the figures' legs. All parts are still attached to their pour plugs. You will have to be especially careful to remove the fragile scoop handle from its plug. You will have to provide some lengths of wire to simulate the antennas and electrical connections. Exploded assembly drawings, detailed decal guides, and a description of the Apollo 17 mission complete the instructions. The kit also includes a resin base representing the surface of the moon with plenty of boot tracks molded in place.
