This detail kit is intended to replace the solid solar panel trusses in the Revell International Space Station kit with photoetched parts. One set is all that's required to complete the current (as of 2005) configuration of the ISS, but you will need four sets to depict the final configuration. The instruction sheet includes drawings showing which parts in the Revell kit need modification.
